Our 6-year-old son, Tyler, was thrilled when we shared the news that our family would soon be growing; a baby sister was due in a few months. However, as the planning continued, he became a bit sad that my husband and I were working so hard for the new arrival, but he had little to do. So, we decided that a small animal pet would be a great project. He was even more thrilled when he heard that HE could name our new guinea pig. After days of struggling to find the right name, he heard my husband mention that he'd be watching a football game, Chicago versus Philadelphia. From that moment on, the name was chosen ..."Bear." Yes, Bear the guinea pig.
